RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN MARCH 2010!
"The Quo have always prided themselves on being a band best experienced live and thunderously loud" - The Guardian 2007
"The crowd blew their tops when the opening chords to, "Whatever You Want", were played...Quo were as lively as ever, jumping up and down, dominating the stage"
- BBC 2009
Following a hugely successful European tour, the original barnstorming rockers, Status Quo, return to Australia in March 2010. The Mighty "Quo" maintain their remarkable position as one of the longest-standing rock bands in the world - selling an astounding 118 million records and possessing over 60 UK chart hits, a feat only rivaled by the legendary Rolling Stones.
Their upcoming tour will mark an incredible 45 years of massive hits and electrifying live performances for the band, and with no sign of slowing down Australian audiences are in for an unforgettable experience.
Supporting the Mighty Quo on tour will be our very own The Screaming Jets. Since forming in 1989, the "Jets" are the quintessential Australian pub-rock band and recently released their 10th album, Do Ya.
After releasing Pictures (2008), the ultimate celebration of Status Quo's forty years of chart topping music, the band make their way down to Melbourne on Saturday, 13 March to burst the seams of The Palais Theatre.
In their extraordinary career Status Quo have collected masses of awards and accolades, including the coveted Silver Clef Award, a Brit Award and World Music Award for their invaluable contribution to the Music Industry.
The band has also raised millions of dollars for children's charities through their epic Rock ‘Til You Drop event, and was the world famous opening act for Live Aid at Wembley Stadium. Their performance had 1.5 billion viewers around the world glued to their sets and the event remains the most watched television special in history. This December will mark Status Quo's unbelievable 43rd appearance at Wembley Stadium.
The long-haired rock legends reunite with their Australian fans off the back of this year's Glastonbury Festival, playing to a 80,000 strong crowd, with a set including their powerful rock anthems Whatever You Want and Rockin' All Over the World.
Legions of Quo fans can start breaking out the Dunlops and tuning their air guitars - the original masters of Rock n' Roll are heading our way ... and showing the youth of today how to do it right.
